Flash games: keepin' busy and killin' time

Flash games are the ultimate way to waste time. I like the point and click puzzle games the best, they're easy to play on my laptop with minimal hand/eye co-ordination.
here are a few that I found fun, mostly found through www.neatorama.com
good luck, and happy time-wasting!

Hey mom, try this one, you'll like it. Split words: This game requires you to form words from fragments. :

Drag the puzzle pieces to form a comic book cover:

Crafts that sound good: fusing plastic bags

There are some projects you can only do in the summer, either outside or with all your windows wide open. This is one of them, because of the potential hazard of heating plastic bags. I've seen lots of cool things done with this technique, and I should totally make a waterproof lining for a knit gym bag. Or a felted lunch bag? Or a crochet tote for my winter boots? Maybe place mats when I get an actual table? Or backing for a picnic blanket? Or makeup bag? So many possibilities!

Food that sounds good:welsh rabbit

Is there anything better than cheese? I'll answer that question for you. No. There is nothing better than cheese. Maybe you are lactose intolerant, in which case I pity you for lacking the ability to be completely happy, but cheese is still the perfect food. This recipe looks awesome, and I plan to make it as soon as I can find a bread worthy of its gooey goodness.

Patterns that sound good: baby bunting bag

Blankets are not en vogue for babies any more. It turns out that they're death traps and parents have been total jerks for a zillion years risking the suffocating of their precious bundles of joy by using them. That's why bunting bags are all the rage. They're sweater on the top, sleeping bag on the bottom, and won't smother your baby no matter how much they thrash around. This pattern is for a particularly cute one. Now to find someone with a chilly baby in danger of suffocation...

MMMMMMMM, coconut. I loves it! Get in my belly, macaroons.

This recipe looks real super easy, and doesn't have almond extract (which i love but my mom hates).

Crafts that sound good: borax crystal ornaments

I love things that are hand made. I like the fact that you know where the item comes from, who made it, and how. I like that there's meaning and memories associated with it, and that someone has put love and effort into producing something special with you in mind. That's why I always plan to make the presents I give people. It rarely pans out: I'm too flaky and leave everything too late, but I always have a pile of projects on the go and a list as long as my arm of things to make or try. This is one of them! borax crystallizing on pipe cleaners to make Christmas tree ornaments. Heads up friends and family, you may receive these as gifts next Christmas.
